: how? a california teachers' union producing a video cartoon called tax the rich. >> over i'm ric time rich peopld they weren't rich enough so they came up with ways to get richer. the first way was with tax cuts. they say why should i care witht other non-rich people. i can hire people to work for me for less money than taxes cost. then i can keep the rest of my taxes for me. meanwhile, instead of investing in things most people would accuse and instead of providing jobs that paid people well like they used to, rich people found they could make more money on wall street. wall street is a place where money makes money. here the 1% made money so fast, they devoted more and more record to it. they took some of that money and sent it far away where workers had no rights to produce things that workers used to produce here. when ordinary people wondered why rich people needed so much money, the 1% said don't worry. this is good for you, too, because it will trickle down from us to you. some day you'll be rich, and then the rules we made for us will be your rules, too. >> okay. now, what was

for american utilities. and that's why i'm naming it my new favorite railroad. even over and above union pacific, which is always been my favorite. don't get mad at me, union pacific. i used a great union pacific calendar, but it's december. that one's off the wall. anyway -- kansas city southern also saw some exposure to the bakken shale. they found so much oil, they need to ship it via train in order to get a decent price because there's not enough pipe yet, not enough pipe laid from north dakota to the rest of the country. and the company owns half of the panama canal railway which provides ocean to ocean service along the canal. they have fantastic management. david starling was named railroader of the year for 2012. this stock is taking you for a fabulous ride. i got the idea from brian ashenberg who writes the letter for the street.com. he gave us a lot at a really low price, a lot of good ideas. brian first got buying kansas city southern a while ago. the stock's given his news letter 360% return, but the stock's only up 14% in the last 12 months. i think many of the earnings esti

lines for an eighth day. the union and management were unable to reach a deal to end the strike after a late- night meeting. the work stoppage has dramatically slowed activity at the nation's busiest cargo complex. the port of oakland has picked up some of the work not going to southern california ports. the clerical workers have been without a contract since june 2010. they're accusing terminal operators of outsourcing clerical jobs. officials estimate the strike is costing the u-s economy a billion- dollars per day. >> this man is in police custody after allegedly pushing a man in front of a time square subway. he tried to climb to safety but got trapped between the train and the platform. >> the judge over the fort hood shooting trial has been removed from the case. a military appeals court in texas says that it was because of the judge treatment of the suspect. indicating a lack of impartiality. hassan is charged with 13 people dead and dozens injured. he is facing the death penalty, if convicted. the judge ordered that hassan be clean shaven or completely shaven. before the mil
